In Switchbacks, players embark on a mountain trekking expedition, navigating the challenging terrain of a hexagonal grid adorned with tiles numbered 1 to 37. Trekkers can leave their mark by placing their tokens onto these tiles, symbolizing their progress along the path.

Upon reaching the game's summit, adventurers gather to recount their journey. They seek out clusters of tiles with sequential numbers, akin to tracing a winding path of interconnected switchbacks along the mountainside. With the wind of triumph at their backs, the trekker who has conquered the most challenging paths and accumulated the highest points emerges as the victor of this mountain escapade.
